Double for Al Asayl in Abu Dhabi opening night.

(Published: Nov 07, 2010) The first Arabian race of the racing season was won by Burkan al Asayl, the three year colt is trained by French trainer Philippe Barbe. Burkan was ridden by David Badel in the first event which was 1,300 meter maiden race.
The jockey's comment after the race was ""He ran a bit green and that was not surprising because it was his first race. I think I sent him to the front a bit early and he was idling, yet he stayed on well". The same team won in the second race when Noor Einy, a 3 year old filly came first in the second maiden race by a dominating 6 Lengths. David Badel commented after the run, "She showed a lot of speed and ability on her first run. She is already a good racehorse and should be winning again,". Also Time Out placed an honorable third in the feature race of the night, the Sheikh Zayed BIn Sultan Al Nahyan Cup, part of the Sheikh Mansour racing festival series.
