About AL ASAYL

Al Asayl is one of the most unique private centres in the gulf. Located in the middle of the desert, 43 km from the center of Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates and in close proximity to the Emirates Highway to Dubai, it offers the ultimate in peace and tranquillity for horses.

Al Asayl – derived from the Arabic ‘aseel’ which means purebred – opened its doors in 1991 to racing and breeding Purebred Arabian Racehorses. It is one of the most advanced private centres in the U.A.E. Al Asayl Racing is owned by HH the President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Under the initiatives pursued by Chairman of the UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation HH Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan it has grown much since its beginnings over a decade and a half ago.

Race Horses are trained using facilities such as the race track, secondary trails and an indoor swimming pool. There is an on-site clinic with equipment that allows for the full range of blood analyses to be taken, digital x-rays, ultrasound treatment, video gastroscope, extra-corporal shockwave therapy and including an Equine Spa used for therapies.
